Everyday Use

Talk with FERMI, keep useful context, and make daily briefings part of your routine.

Talk to FERMI at home

  1. Open Settings and find Listening.
  2. Turn on Listen for “Hey FERMI” for this computer’s microphone. Wait for the listening status.
  3. Say “Hey FERMI”, then ask your question. FERMI answers aloud when its voice is ready.

Keep the computer awake while you use FERMI by voice.

Keep useful context

Tell FERMI what you want it to remember in your own words:

Remember that the bins go out on Tuesday.

Review the saved note in Settings. Ask a follow-up in a later conversation to check that FERMI can use it.

Check

The note contains what you asked FERMI to keep. A note does not schedule a reminder.

Get a daily briefing

  1. In Settings, enable A daily brief and choose its time.
  2. Choose whether to include weekends. The time must be before 9 PM.
  3. On Ask, select Brief me now to check the result.

Keep FERMI open for scheduled briefs. With Listening on, the brief can be spoken.

Stay in control of actions

When FERMI asks to send a message or change your calendar, review the recipient, contents and action before approving.

Choose your approval preferences in Settings. Only authorize automatic actions within rules you understand.
